The Research Partner Schools Program Showcase held by QCEC on Friday was well attended.

Led by Senior Education Officer John Percy, the showcase addressed three themes: literacy and self-regulation, engagement and wellbeing, and collaboration in Year 7 mathematics.

Throughout 2019, teachers and school leaders from 13 Catholic schools across Queensland partnered with researchers from the University of Queensland’s Science of Learning Research Centre and SVA Evidence for Learning as part of the Advancing Teaching and Learning Initiative. 

The schools investigated the selected themes and reported on the outcomes of their research at the showcase.

The presentations were excellent and provided an overview of each of the research projects undertaken by the schools.

The commitment, energy and expertise of the staff involved was evident throughout the day.
