It has been wonderful to read about and witness the remarkable achievements of the class of 2019 over the past week.

More than 7,800 Year 12 Queensland Catholic school students left their school gates for the final time last Friday.

There are always mixed emotions as students farewell their schooling journey and embark on their next pathway.

The 2019 Year 12 cohort were the original prep half-cohort back in 2007 and have marked the milestone in celebration.

Special congratulations to students and staff at Ambrose Treacy College, Indooroopilly, and Southern Cross Catholic College, Annandale, who farewelled their first cohort of Year 12 students.

My thanks to all the teachers, school staff, parents and carers of these students who have guided and supported Year 12 students through their school years to achieve their very best.
