The final Commission meeting for 2019 was held in Brisbane yesterday.

The meeting provided an opportunity to review the work that has taken place this year and to prepare for the 2020 school year. 

The Commission received reports from QCEC’s various committees and networks highlighting the breadth of work carried out throughout the year. 

As we look towards 2020, the Commission also considered its strategic priorities for the next year as well as endorsing program funding arrangements for the coming year.  

The Commission also endorsed the theme for Queensland Catholic Education Week 2020.

Next year’s theme will be 175 Years – A Spirited Tomorrow, marking the anniversary of the opening of the first Catholic school in Queensland while looking to our future.
