Senator Scarr visit
As part of QCEC’s ongoing engagement with elected representatives, I visited two very different but equally inspiring schools on Monday with LNP Senator for Queensland Paul Scarr.
It was a pleasure to introduce Senator Scarr to the work of the Flexi Schools with a visit to the Inala Flexible Learning Centre where he was able to speak with students and staff about their experiences and get a better understanding of the wonderful work being done with students for whom mainstream schooling is not an option.
We also visited Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Darra, where Senator Scarr was introduced to students and had an opportunity to speak with staff about their priority issues.
It was a great opportunity to introduce the Senator to a school community made up of diverse cultural and socio-economic groups and for him to see another facet of Catholic education.
