Premier's ANZAC Prize

It was excellent to hear St Monica’s College, Cairns, will take part in an adventurous journey as a result of their achievements in the Premier’s ANZAC Prize Awards.

Natalia Loukas was one of eight students selected, while teacher Sharon Mann will be one of two teacher chaperones embarking on the 16-day ANZAC Prize tour abroad next year.

The purpose of the journey will give students the opportunity to experience the ANZAC tradition first-hand, while drawing on the importance of how we commemorate and pay our respects in a modern-day world.

The group will attend an Anzac Day dawn service in April at the Australian War Memorial at Villers-Bretonneux in France.

This will be one of many locations visited.
