After almost 11 years with QCEC and more than two decades with Catholic education, I would like to wish Senior Education Officer John Percy all the best on his retirement journey.

John’s dedicated career has spanned State and Catholic education sectors in senior leadership roles in schools.

He has made significant contributions to the Secretariat and the Catholic sector, demonstrating leadership in a range of areas including student wellbeing, international education, teacher education programs, and initiatives to develop teacher capabilities.

John has also been a strong advocate for Catholic spirituality and associated faith and formation leadership programs and has led the Secretariat’s work in defining the mission of Catholic schools and shaping guidelines for Social Justice programs in schools.

His dedication and commitment to the ethos of Catholic education has been outstanding and he will be sadly missed by the QCEC team.

We wish John all the best in his retirement.
