Nationally Consistent Collection of Data meeting
I was pleased to welcome educators and senior finance officers from the various state/territory Commissions to QCEC last week for the annual Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD)/ Senior Financial Officer meeting.
Chaired by Policy Advisor, National Catholic Education Commission, Patrice Daly, QCEC welcomed 29 attendees to discuss how Catholic School Authorities across Australia have managed NCCD.
It was a great opportunity to learn how the different Commissions have utilised funding to support compliance with NCCD.
The meeting provided an opportunity to share how moderation activities are supported within and across school sectors.
It affirmed Queensland’s approach to ensuring that the adjustment is being made due to a disability which has a functional impact on the student’s learning, as well as ensuring the necessary evidence is available to support the inclusion of the child in the NCCD count.
I will continue to advocate with both the Australian and State Governments for a simpler process, noting the significant investment schools are making in ensuring compliance with NCCD requirements.
