Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher Assessor Training
Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher Assessor training took place in Brisbane this week.
Twenty-two candidates holding various classroom-based, school-based and office roles, attended the Assessor Training Program Day One workshop to consolidate their knowledge and skills through their participation in this nationally recognised Assessor Training Program.
Candidates completed online learning prior to the face-to-face day and will continue to work through these modules prior to the second face-to-face Assessor Training Program Day scheduled for 14 February 2022.
Candidates from Brisbane, Toowoomba, Cairns and Townsville Dioceses broadened their understanding of certification and the Assessor’s role in supporting the assessment and feedback process for applicants. The program assists candidates to deepen their knowledge of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and understand its relevance and application to all aspects of teacher practice.
The workshop was delivered by the Queensland College of Teachers with the support of QCEC. The workshop was funded by the Australian Government’s Non-Government Reform Support Fund.
