Deputy Executive Director 

I would like to congratulate Diarmuid O’Riordan on his appointment as Deputy Executive Director - Learning Services, Brisbane Catholic Education. 

Diarmuid will commence his new role in January 2023 and is well known across the Catholic education sector in Queensland as he has lived, worked and served in the community for many years. 

Diarmuid takes over from Doug Ashleigh who retired in September.

New Principals 

Congratulations to two new staff members who have been appointed the position of principal at Brisbane Catholic Education. 

Liam Beatty will commence his role as Principal of St Thomas’ Primary School, Camp Hill on 20 October, 2022, while Lagi Aukusitino will begin her term as Principal at Star of the Sea Primary School, Cleveland in 2023. 

Both Liam and Lagi have a strong leadership background within the Catholic education sector.
