Student Protection Evaluation Survey Report
Findings from the Student Protection Evaluation Survey are now available to assist Catholic School Authorities to evaluate their student protection processes.
The survey was undertaken by QCEC in partnership with the Australian Catholic University’s (ACU) Institute of Child Protection Studies and was a state-wide research project to evaluate school student protection training and procedures.
The survey was undertaken across a select sample of schools from rural, regional and metropolitan areas and was funded under the non-recurrent Australian Government Non-Government Reform Support Fund.
The recent ACU findings report makes seven recommendations around continuous improvement actions which CSAs are encouraged to reflect on and consider within their local operating contexts and own data and research.
CSAs that would like to connect with ACU to undertake similar survey work within their setting should contact QCEC Senior Policy Officer Patrick MacDermott via email at patrickm@qcec.catholic.edu.au.
